The RFU arranges a range of insurance policies to help protect the community game on an annual basis 1 July – 30 June with an investment of circa £3.5m.
The RFU arranges insurance cover for affiliated clubs (voting and nonvoting) whose most senior XV plays at National League Level 1 and below or the Women's Championship and below. Details of all the cover provided is on the England Rugby Insurance Centre website.
(Please note, Armed Forces and University clubs should be covered via their own forces or university liability insurance, although university faculty clubs, affiliated to the RFU via a regional Constituent Body, could be insured under the RFU insurance policy but it would be advisable to check with Howden via the information below).
The cover arranged includes ‘Combined Liability’ protection for your club, including players, coaches, officials and committee or board members and trustees as well as catastrophic injury ‘Personal Accident’ cover for players, coaches and referees.
