Rugby is back - message from GRFU:

Rugby is back!

We are as excited as you probably all are at the return of rugby to our pitches and our diaries.

Can we highlight a few points on our return to ensure everyone has a safe and positive return to the sport. Especially after being away for so long, it can be easy to forgot.

There is a lot of guidance and support on the RFU website regarding the return to rugby as well as this useful one pager from our RFU Club Developers.

It includes:

  • Webinars on Stage D Guidance
  • Full guidance on the roadmap and stages
  • Infographics which explicitly say what is/what isn’t permitted
  • Club support
  • Frequently Asked Questions

Despite the temptations to get on with contact training, please remember that the players have been completely inactive in most cases, for a longer period than they would have done during the summer. Please exercise caution when planning contact training, this should be gradual and fitted around the players needs, not the needs of the coaches.

We want our players having a safe and enjoyable return to promote lifelong participation as they are the future of the game!

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
